Obituary of Angelo A. Cardello
Angelo Cardello of Rocky Hill passed away peacefully on May 4, 2018. He was the son of the late Barney and Mary (Montanile) Cardello. Angelo was born in Hartford, CT and his family eventually settled in Elmwood. He proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War on the USS Iowa. He had many fond memories of his time in the Navy and in later years was seldom seen out without wearing his USS Iowa cap. After his service in the Navy, Angelo attended the University of Hartford and upon graduation taught Social Studies at East Hartford High School until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and lifelong member of Indian Hill Country Club in Newington. In addition to his parents, Angelo was predeceased by his brother Louis Cardello and a dear brother-in-law Lucian Agnellino. He leaves behind his son Brian whom he adored. He also leaves his sister Carmela (Candy) Agnellino, his brother Robert Cardello and his wife Jan, a niece Linda Warner and her husband John, a great-niece Jenna Blaise and her husband Nick, and a great-nephew Matthew Warner and his wife Amanda. He was recently proud to be a great-great-uncle to Cole Blaise. He will also be missed by his former wife Lynda Cardello Kosky. Angelo was a very proud and private person and asked that there be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 9 at 10:00 am in St. Josephine Bakhita Parish at St. James Church, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Josephine Bakhita Parish, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
