To the DeNino-Fahey family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Lynn was a wonderful teacher and true professional. I had the pleasure of working with her at Hopewell school from 2002-2007. She was so gracious and so devoted to her students. She was an innovator and a lifelong learner. I remember when she assumed the role as interim principal at Hopewell School flawlessly and smoothly. Even though her life was cut short I hope you find comfort in the fact that she touched many lives.

Our condolences to your family. Mrs. Fahey was such a remarkable teacher with a passion for teaching. She was so caring to her students. Our son was blessed to have her as his third grade teacher at Hopewell. She set high standards which laid the foundation for students to excel as they progress to higher levels of education. Kyle enjoyed having her and missed seeing her around the school. We are thankful that she was a part of our lives. She is a truly special person and will be missed dearly.

So sorry to hear this sad news about a beloved teacher. Mrs. Fahey not only inspired our daughter in unique ways but also touched our family with her caring, kindness and passion for learning. Mrs. Fahey will be remembered as a favorite teacher for years to come. She went out of her way to work with students individually and also related in ways that engaged them. She used humor and discipline, stories that Melina still mentions, and a passion for the task at hand.
Mrs. Fahey was present in everything she did. She was there to encourage, cheer on and support even outside of school when she knew my daughter was going to speak before the board. She sat with her, encouraged her and supported her every chance she got. My daughter knew she belonged and was praised and encouraged for the fire in her heart with personal stories about choices Mrs. Fahey had made in her life by following the fire in her heart.
Her warm hand touched all of us. Mrs Fahey was also generous and welcoming to parents and even extended family. She always made people she was talking with feel special with her undivided attention- even grandparents visiting the school from out of town! She will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
Sending love and condolences~ The Velendzas Family

Both of my daughters were very fortunate to have Mrs. Fahey for their third grade teacher.
Lynn was an exceptional teacher, very well organized, extremely detailed and caring to each student. She took the time to get to know the strengths and weaknesses of each student and worked hard to design the perfect learning techniques for them.
The girls also enjoyed her father and the delicious popcorn he would make and bring
into the classroom. He helped them with math and develop an appreciation for it.
Bacon House was also a wonderful connection and a unique one that Lynn had made for the kids in her class. They were able to practice their Spanish skills and gain a friend through becoming pen pals with the residents at Bacon House. It was an amazing
community experience.
Our condolences to her family especially her husband and boys who she loved dearly.
Please know what a difference your mom made in our daughters education and how much we enjoyed having her as their teacher.

To Mrs. Fahey’s family,
My daughter Sara had Mrs. Fahey in second grade and we have so many special memories. From having the children establish pen pal relationships with the Bacon House, to the gingerbread houses, and reading Wednesdays, in every activity Mrs. Fahey fostered an excitement and enthusiasm for learning. She also taught the kids about compassion and kindness along with their schoolwork. She really made an impact on Sara and we wanted you to know how special she was to us. We hope that you find comfort in the knowledge of how many lives she impacted in such a positive way. With deepest sympathy,
Sue and Sara Kaswan

My condolences for the loss of this amazing woman. She was my daughter Jordan’s 3rd grade teacher and I was one of the room parents that year as well. We had a wonderful year with her and beyond. We are very lucky to have had a chance to learn from her. We will never forget that when Jordan started school and broke her arm that year, we met Lynn, her new teache, who also had a broken wrist, they bonded immediately. My thoughts and prayers to her entire family, she will be missed by so many.

Dear Marty, Jonathan, and Michael,
I was shocked and so saddened to read Lynn's obituary this morning in the Courant for I was unaware of her illness. You can be sure I would have called on her if I had known. I feel badly that I did not keep in touch as we had such a long and positive history together. I first met Lynn when Jonathan entered my Kindergarten class and then it was my pleasure to have her as room mother when Michael came along. How she loved her little boys and was so devoted to them. Finally, it was my pleasure to serve as her mentor teacher when she student taught at Hebron Avenue. I know she was a fine teacher and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Although we never had the privilege of knowing Lynn personally, we feel
as though we really did through our conversations with Marty by telephone.
As we were aware of Lynn's courageous battle with cancer, she was always
in our thoughts and prayers. It so ironic, that through her passing we
get to know how wonderful her life was and how many people including
children she affected during her short time here on earth. May we all
celebrate her life in this passing knowing that she is with the Lord today.
God's blessings on a wonderful family.
