Obituary of Judy Lynch

Judy (Preli) Lynch, 69, of South Glastonbury, beloved wife for 49 years of Richard D. Lynch, died peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday September 3, 2012 at Hartford Hospital. Born July 5, 1943 in Hartford, daughter of the late Modesto and Fortunata (Tribolati) Preli. she was a lifelong resident of South Glastonbury. Prior to her retirement she was a Customer Service Representative for Bank of America. Judy was a member of St. Augustine Church, a Eucharistic Minister and past president of the Altar Guild. She was often referred to as the "Mayor" of Glastonbury. Judy loved life and lived it to the fullest. Her courage and strength was an inspiration to all who knew her. She truly enjoyed her amazing friends and family and cherished every one of her grandchildren. Besides her husband she is survived by her children and their spouses; David and Mikki Lynch of Olney, MD, Kathy and John Cechini, Chris and Kevin Bassette and Colleen and Jeff Schena all of South Glastonbury, ten grandchildren; Abby, Jake, Olivia, Julia, Dina, Luke, Henry, Carter, Jamie and Tyler, 2 sisters Dorothy Lavezzoli of Chester, Rose Castelli of Portland and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Philip Preli. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Sept. 6 at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Wednesday Sept. 5 from 4-8pm.
