Played golf with Mark and his dad at George Wright in the 1960's. He was a good golfer then. Have not seen him since then. Will say a prayer for him. Bill Taylor, formerly of Roslindale now Port Townsend Washington.

I'm in shock. I was looking up Mark because I wanted to call and say hello and catch up with him. I'm so sorry for your loss Leslie. I've met you a few times when you met Mark and were then married. I was fortunate to be a good enough friend to go with Mark to see young Mark, Joanne and beautiful baby Shea in NYC where Joanne performed in what bacame my favorite musical comedy "Little Me" with Martin Short. In fact, why Mark came to mind, is because Martin Short is coming to Colorado Springs. Jogged my thoughts to give Mark a shout out and invite you both out for a visit. I'm so sad about this shock when looking for him. I'm so sorry for the greatest loss in my business life ever. I made a friend forever in Mark. He was the classiest, kindest and smartest guy in the business. Rest in Peace you special gentleman.

We have wonderful memories of Mark and the Golden Family.
Mark was so young to leave us.
We hope that Leslie, his sons, grandchildren and sibling's memories will help to sustain them during this difficult time and loss.

Dear Golden Family:
Please accept my sincerest sympathies and ongoing prayers at this most difficult and sad time. Mark and I worked together at Aetna for many years. I never had a funnier, more caring or smarter work pal. If Mark was around, everyone was laughing. He brightened many days and lifted spirits with good humor and kindness. When I had a bad day, we would sing Phantom of the Opera to take our minds off the sales pressures. My family lived in South Glastonbury too and my little son (now 32) remembers with great fondness how Mark taught him how to wear his Red Sox ball cap backwards and to swipe penny candy from the Frank's grocery store Brach's display. When I wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday with a golf membership, Mark sponsored us at GHCC. We were awful golfers and Mark was a terrific golfer. He made us feel so welcome. Mark was a wonderful, smart, kind, loving and funny man, so very proud of his family, his beloved boys, and his Boston roots. He will be missed. Prayers and hugs to the entire Golden Clan.

Some of the most beautiful and tender times for me growing up were the times I spent with my dear dear uncle Mark. I adored him them and although I had not seen him in several years, his lovely and kind and generous soul often entered my thoughts and always my heart. He was a light and a beautiful person in all ways.
I have missed him and I send all my love and support to Leslie and his family..
You will be sorely missed Mark.. xo

Mark,
You and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers. While I was never fortunate enough to meet your father, I have been honored to work with you for many years. I'm confident many of your best qualities where the same as his. Know the next time you get a chance to tee off, especially with your son and your brother, your dad will be there with you. Whether it's an eagle or yes even a triple bogie on a par 3, it will be him saying he loves you.
God Bless

Leslie and The Golden Family: I am saddened to hear of Mark's passing and unfortunately due to a previous commitment, will not be able to pay my respects in person. Mark was a great co-worker, and more importantly a great man. We enjoyed many laughs and great times at Cigna. His contribution to the Cigna Sales Academy was foundational and exceptional. We would recruit at Colgate every year to try to find some more of "the kids" as Mark liked to say. Within Sales Effectiveness, he was my " baking soda" - always need it in the house and always finding another use for it to fix something. Mark treated everybody with respect - even us Yankee Fans. I think the 4 game sweep this past weekend was a tribute to Mark from the baseball gods. Great memories, great guy. RIP Goldie.
