Working with Bruce was a joy. We were both Boomers with similar work history, hitching onto careers in the information technology industry early on. We shared a love of the Yankees and sports in general and enjoyed sharing remembrances of the early years of programming. At work he had the respect from his peers and staff that he earned as a kind and consummate professional. He loved his family above all. I will miss his cheer, insight and compassion.

Dear Kinel Family, I am an old classmate from LaSalette Prep Seminary and fellow teammate on several sports teams from that era with Bruce. We communicated and shared some memories several months back. I offer my condolences to you and prayers on Bruce's passing. I will make a donation to pancan.org in his memory.

I wanted to light a candle to in memory of Bruce. I worked with him at Knights for a few years. Even though he would be swamped with work, he would take the time, step away from his computer, and give you the time you needed to work thru an issue or answer a question. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to your family for your loss. Rest in peace Bruce.

To The Kinel Family - Not only did I have the honor and pleasure to work with Bruce on projects here at the Knights of Columbus - we grew up in the same neighborhood on Natalie St / Rowe Ave and I was friends with his sister Janice. We always laughed about how small a world this was. Bruce was a wonderful person and we are all going to miss him. He is in great hands now and no longer has pain.

Bruce is a very kind and happy person to be around with. He is one of the nicest people I met at the Knights of Columbus, he never failed to say "Hello" matching with a bright smile on his face every time I bumped into him around the building. He will surely be missed by people that had the privilege of working with him. My sincerest condolences to the Kinel family and may he rest in Peace.

If you ever saw a frown on his face - it did not last long. Very supportive.
"Wahoo!" describes him.

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at last he will stand upon the earth; and after my skin has been thus destroyed, then from my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see on my side, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me!” Job 19:25-27 (RSVCE)
To the family,
I will miss Bruce very much. We were close in age and we always joked with each other about growing old(er). The last time I spoke with Bruce, our conversation went serious just for a moment as we talked about our faith. I believe the words spoken by Job expressed the sentiment Bruce conveyed to me that day. Bruce loved life, he loved his family, and he loved God.
I will be praying for your strength to get you through these coming days of sorrow and for the memories of his life, which was well lived, to comfort you both now and in the future.
Remembering you all during this time,
Joyce Blandon

I caught up with Bruce only a few months ago to meet for coffee to share about our struggles with pancreatic cancer. I had not seen Bruce since LaSalette Prep Seminary High School days some 47 years ago! Bruce was still the kind and and warm person I remembered from high school. Bruce was fighting the good fight against his cancer though weakened by it. My condolences to his family upon the loss of this good man too soon.

Bruce....everyone that knew you will miss you dearly. Ill always remember the days when we used to work at the Aetna in the Health new business system (aka...the piece of cake system!!!). We worked very hard and it was a great team of developers that had fun being around each other every day. I will miss not seeing you now at The Knights of Columbus. You always said to us "keep smiling, keep smiling!!!"....I am sure your presence in heaven is bringing out a smile from everyone around you. My deepest condolences to everyone in your family. We are keeping all of you in our prayers.
