Obituary of Sebastiana Lilla Franzo
Sebastiana (Lilla) Petruzzello Franzo, 99, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Franzo, passed away on September 24, 2018. She was born August 29, 1919 in Siracusa, Italy, daughter of the late Angelo Petruzzello and Lucia Azzaro Petruzzello. She is survived by her two children and their spouses: Mary and John Rametta of Glastonbury, and Santo and Marcia Franzo of Southington, CT. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Dean Rametta and his wife Mary, Francesca Rametta, David Rametta and his wife Karolina, Lyn Franzo Cressotti and her husband Joe, Joe Franzo and his wife Jessica, and Scott Franzo and his wife Lindsay, and 9 great grandchildren: John Henry, Rachel, Michael, Jason, Katelyn, Julia, Natalie, Lily, Charlie, Cooper and Maceo. Sebastiana was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She used her many talents to spread her love, from sewing and knitting clothes for her children, to painting her famous personalized flower birthday cards, to cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. Sebastiana also shared her love and strength by offering endless prayers and spiritual guidance during difficult times. Affectionately known as Nonna, she will be sorely missed by her adoring family. She was a beacon of light and optimism, and loved with all of her heart. Our earthly angel is now resting in peace, watching us from above. We love you, Nonna. Special thanks to the kind and competent staff at Glastonbury Healthcare Center for doing so much to accommodate her needs and keeping her comfortable. Thanks to Carol Haris, Janet, Carol, Alexis and Lucy for their loving care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Sept. 28 at 11am in
St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St, Glastonbury. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am.
