Obituary of Elizabeth J. (Wagner) Snyder

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Snyder, 87, of Glastonbury, CT.  passed away on September 27, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on July 30, 1931 to the late Frank and Lillian Wagner. Betty attended Penn State University and later received a BA degree in Mathematics from Immaculata College in Immaculata, PA. Betty taught for many years and then went on to be an engineer at Philadelphia Gear Co. for many more years. She was an avid bridge player who was proud to have achieved her Life Master status. She is survived by a sister, Lois Stettler, of Pennsylvania, a brother, William Wagner, of California, as well as her two sons: Ryan, and his wife Tracy, of Glastonbury, CT; and Rick and his wife Mary, of Lancaster, PA, and her beloved cat Poki. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 3-5 PM at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, CT. Funeral service will be held On Tuesday Oct. 2 at 1:00pm in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg, PA. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11am to 1:00pm.
