I miss you every day. I miss celebrating with you, I miss getting advice from you. I miss hearing your voice. I miss you so much that it makes a hole in my chest. You were my anchor and my mentor. You showed me what it means to be a good person and I still need you so very much. Thank you for being my mother.

My heart hurts and my tears flow saying a final goodbye to a beautiful great aunt whom I truly hold so dear in both my heart and soul. In fact I for 42 years now i have actually cried real tears every single time I have had to farewell my favorite aunt Mary Ann who would come to St Louis all the way from Connecticut (just to see me shed whisper to me, because I was her favorite too.. we kept that part a secret). Ive always wanted to come to see East Coast and my main drive had been to someday see those oceans and beaches she had described so vividly and visit my Great and Favorite Aunt and weve planned that trip for as long as I can remember. I'm so sorry I never made the trip. AUNT MARY ANN, I LOVE YOU. THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS MAKING ME FEEL SPECIAL. I MISS YOU TODAY AND ALWAYS. I'm happy you are no longer suffering. Please give Grandmom and Grandad as well as Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother Hanlon a huge hug. I miss them too!!

Thanks mom for teaching us to appreciate the natural beauty of this wonderful blue marble we call home. You and dad traveled far and wide, but you never grew tired of a rainbow and even with Alzheimer's stopped to literally smell the roses. I remember you'd put blankets out on the driveway for us to watch meteor showers in August - despite the fact you were a skinny with no padding between you and the pavement! Love you!

Grandma was always adventurous. I had just gotten over my fear of roller coasters around age 11 when she joined our family for a trip to Disney World. Having conquered an intimidating one called "the Kraken" I insisted on riding it again. My mom wanted to stay with my little brother and couldn't join me again so my grandma got on at 70 years of age. I think she was the only grandmother on the ride but I was incredibly grateful that she joined me.

Time has passed so quickly since that trip to St Louis for THE wedding. We are all so lucky to have had Mary Ann in our lives. Condolences are offered but I remember all of the happy times. Thanks Mary Ann.

Please accept my condolences for the passing of Mary. There is hope though, as the Almighty has arranged for the resurrection in the future. He promises, "... There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." (Acts 24:15)
I hope you find these few words comforting and provide motivation to prepare for the new world of God's making. (John 17:3)
