Obituary of Shirley J. Sweeney

Shirley J. (Zaugg) Sweeney, 83, of Hebron, passed away peacefully on Friday at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Howard V. Sweeney.Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late George L. and Laura L. (Curtis) Zaugg. Shirley worked as a cashier for Sears and Roebuck for many years.She is survived by her son Robert P. Allen of Hebron, three brothers, George Zaugg of Windsor Locks, Raymond Zaugg of South Windsor, and Paul Zaugg of Cromwell, and several nieces and nephews.Services and burial in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown will be private. There are no calling hours. Mulryan Funeral Home, Glastonbury is in charge of arrangements.
