I first met George at a Chicken Diner on a hill off of Asylum Avenue. Sitting in a group, you could tell that all had deep respect for this man who mixed humor with direction and advice. .A true boss in every sense of the word. Rest in peace George and please say hello to your buddy Cliff Thompson up there in heaven.

I had the pleasure of meeting George once at a annual “Thanksgiving in August” when I was needing community the most, because of an open invitation from the good man and neighbor he raised as a son,Adam and beautiful daughter Kimberly who has given me strength and encouragement.The love and generosity that has been a rippel effect from one man is evident of his love for humanity. ...the sun goes down and leaves gentle warmth upon the land the tide recedes and leaves beautiful seashells upon the sand the music stops, yet echoes on in sweet refrain for everything beautiful that passes, something beautiful remains.
