Alaina and family - I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting your dad , but from everything I hear about him he sounds like such a wonderful kind soul ! I can see he was loved so much , and in return loved his family back just the same. He will always be with you and your family in your memories and always close in your heart. You are truly lucky to have shared all these years with such a remarkable father. I will be thinking of you. Love your friend- Kristen Webber.

My relationship with Dan and his family was all too-often at a distance of 50 feet, as we greeted each other when I was visiting my parents - their next-door neighbors. Our neighbors in Glastonbury were all very close and the Zorzis fit right in. As my parents began to age, the Zorzis were right there to help - not just in words. Over the years they became like family to the point that my brother and I would refer to Dan as "our brother Dan". He was a genuine man, the kind we need more of today. I know he will be sorely missed by Suzie and the girls, who I know, will fill-in the gaps.

After a storm, Naim ran to his father and told him: “Father, lightning has broken a big branch off from the mulberry in the garden, what do we do?”
“Nothing, my son” answered the father. “You see, Naim, that tree is older than our garden, it has deep roots and besides, it still has many beautiful and thriving branches, with many fruits. It would take much more to uproot a plant like that, one I’ve taken care of and seen growing for many years, with all my love.
Such is life, my son. One day I’ll be gone too, but what is important is that my plant keeps making flowers, fruits and sprouts, that it still is taken care of and respected with the same love I’ve given it throughout the years.”

The best friend a guy could have. Always a big heart, and friend to all. The last time I saw him was a decade ago at Cave Man's body shop. He was having something touched up on a mini van. I asked about family etc. He gave me his traditional smile and little giggle when he saw me. It meant a lot. Saddened beyond belief.

My dear Alaina and family,
I am so sorry - heartbroken actually - to learn of the death of the great Mr. Z. What a fighter he has been throughout this period. I’m sitting here thinking of so many of the stories you told of Papa Z and his seemingly unending patience with you and your antics and adventures - of his kindness and of his good humor while living in estrogen land!! I think he was one of a kind, and you were all blessed to be a family. I know this beyond painful and I hope all those Zori memories, although painful now, will provide comfort to you all over time. Thinking of you all - SL

Kara and family,
The boys and I are so deeply sorry for the loss of your dad. While we never met him personally, the love in which your family showed to each other was palpable through you Kara. We love you beyond words...your Mom and Dad raised an incredible woman...we are here for you to lean on and your little “teeks”, Sam, and “Jeffrey” are here for hugs and smiles day and night. Love you
