For Roger, if you somehow know all that is happening, and I believe there is a way:
It has been many years since I first met you, Roger. It was in Newton in the 1950’s when the Methodist Youth Group combined with our First Baptist youth group, and later you married our Sally. Over the years, it has meant a great deal that our families have kept in touch with emails, Christmas newsletters, and the reunions of the First Baptist Church in Newton Youth Group. You made all of us you have left behind better people for having known you. It seems fitting that you will now return to Newton for your final resting place.
For Sally, Jeff and family, and Jon and family,
You will certainly miss him. It is so true that he was a gentle man with strength, love, and compassion. I do wish we could have gotten together more over the years, especially when you were in CT and we were in MA. It is times like this that we realize life got in the way, but that would have been more important. It is when we get to our age, Sally, and have more time to look back, that we come to this realization. I wish that we could be there for Roger’s hours and service, but we will certainly be with you in spirit. And we wish you strength during this difficult time.
With love, David and Jane Wyman

I am so sorry for your loss. Roger was always so helpful and friendly to me when we worked together at Conard High School. What a lovely man -- modest, intelligent, thoughtful. I'm sure he touched the lives of so many through his teaching.
I hope that you feel supported by loved ones during this difficult time of grief.
Sincerely,
Simone Vrabel le Coutre
