To the Anne (English) Bodey Travaglini Family: we were shocked and saddened by the news of your loved one's passing. She was a classmate and good friend of my mom, Ann (Humphrey) Germon; her kindness and compassion was so appreciated at my mom's memorial in July - that she would travel to Winsted to attend. I am so very sad and sorry to hear of Anne's passing. She was my God Mother who I just met for the first time 2 years ago. She was a good friend of my mother's from high school. (Joan S.) They both got busy with their kids and their lives, I guess, and lost touch with each other until 4 or 5 years ago. I wished I had known her all of these years, as I thought she was wonderful and interesting the few times I was in her company. My Deepest Sympathies to all of her family and friends. .... Anne will be missed so very much. We are grateful she has been a part of our family for so long, joining in the Swiss get-togethers and rousing card games with her dry wit and enthusiasm. Anne shared her tricks and tips for the kitchen, sewing and decorative arts, made much beloved dolls for our daughters, and was always ready with a smile for all of us. Growing up, I remember she had the coolest kitchen, made the best butter cookies, and let Ellen and I have the run of the place whenever we wanted - while standing by to "adjust" whatever it was we thought we were making more palatable. Prayers and love! XO
