Sarah was such a beautiful soul. She was a person you could have real conversations with. The deep ones with no answers and endless perspectives. I'm truely heart broken at her passing. I'm so sad we never got the chance to catch up face to face. I always enjoyed her excitement when I would ask her every year what her address was. The world lost such a magical person. I hope she's at peace and her pain is gone. She has a guitar that never goes out of tune and her songs fill the heavens.

When Hannah and Sarah were friends in middle school, she loved having a bowl of puffed wheat cereal at our house. I kept it on hand for her visits. They danced together in the YFS talent show to a Christina Aguilera song.
Sarah sang so beautifully at graduation. I miss her brightness and her company!

We are so sorry for your loss! Sarah was a talented, vibrant young woman. We enjoyed her friendship with our daughter Kat during their middle and high school days, their wonderful vocal harmonizing, and on vacation with us in the Bahamas. She is truly missed!

You and I stared at each other for years, didn’t we Sarah? Most folks could never hit the notes you could in middle school, so I never worried about the 45 other girls missing the notes, I knew they’d hear you and be fine over time. You were my ringer. The one who knew her stuff, sang big, focused on the music, never fooled around, and expanded each year because of it. What you didn’t know you were doing, was filling a young and nervous 26 year old teacher with confidence. You looked at me with such gentle eyes that it felt awesome to be your conductor. And when I knew the notes were getting higher, I stared right at you and hoped you would do what you do. And you always did. When you sang, you had no fears. No worries. And you were not lost. But folks like us seem to be dealt a different hand than many. The tenderness that allows Music to be shaped and created can also be a doorway into pain. My sensitivity has always kept me in a lot of hurt, only because my heart and soul are outward, open to the elements, as I try to take in that which we need to express our selves. You had the same channel. The same highway into your heart. I don’t know much about your older life, but I do know who you are and what makes you Sarah. And you were just coming into the age when your life gets to be stronger and clearer. Our 20s can be a viscous time of insecurity and shock at all the lies adults told us. Life is nothing like what we were told. But it’s not supposed to be clear. Or easy. You just didn’t know you would have been an amazing energy to help others. That’s what our kindness is there for. It’s our energy that helps others say that they “feel great around us” etc. I did, I really did feel great around you. You had the gentle heart. And it was clear. So you’re now with many spirits of folks I wish I could see everyday. Keep close to us and guide my hands at the piano. Pull my back up when I slouch and remind me to breath. Gather the singers, I’ll see you when it’s time. I loved you kid. You had me at “I can sing those notes no problem Mr C”.
Peace Sarah. I’ll never ever forget you.
