Obituary of Elisabeth H. Arseneault

Elisabeth "Betty" (Hofmann) Arseneault, 83, beloved wife of Joseph Clarence Arseneault passed away peacefully on February 8, 2020 at Maple View Manor in Rocky Hill CT. She was born on November 2, 1936 in Fladungen, Germany to the late Anton and Ana (Reder) Hofmann. She moved to the US in 1959 after marrying her GI sweetheart. Betty was very proud to have worked at Pioneer Aerospace in South Windsor making parachutes that helped land the Mars Rover. She retired in 2001 after 37 years there to become a stay at home grandmother. In addition to her husband of 60 years, she is survived by two sons, David Arseneault and his wife Donna of Andover, CT and Michael Gallaway and his wife Gina of Houston TX; grandchildren Jacob, Rachel, Jenni, Katie, Julie, and Kylee and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She pre-deceased by her grandson Austin. Calling hours will be 9-11am on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Mulryan Funeral Home 725 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury, CT followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:30 am at St. Christopher Church of St. Edmund Campion Parish, 538 Brewer St., East Hartford. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's name can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
