Farewell Charles, a friend for about 60 years. You were an American man to be emulated, a one-of-a-kind soul. And, you had the good fortune to be married to my good friend, Joan. You will be sincerely missed.

My condolences to the family. He was devoted to his family and community. I'm sure he was very proud of his family as a father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather who will miss him dearly but at the same time have so much to celebrate in his life.

I was privileged to grow up across the street from Tryon’s dairy. Many fine memories of Charlie, the farm, and your family. A fine man, in a fine place, at a wonderful time in Nayaug history. Lowell VanDerlip

Uncle Charles taught me how to milk a cow. I'll never forget it. I think of him, Uncle Bud and Uncle Gordon every time I drive by the farm and still enjoy seeing the milk house that remains. God bless you. He was a man of honor and integrity.. Beth Baribault

Glastonbury has lost some real salt of the earth, not the pretend kind they put out today.
To Sue and everyone: The Walkers and the Tryons go back to our beginning in Glastonbury. You were our earliest friends, and we were proud to grow up alongside you guys. We loved your father and we'll miss him dearly.
