Amanda and Raenah - We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We will always remember Rodney for his love of Sandy's cooking, his quick sense of humor, and all the fun we'd have on Playgroup Game Nights. (He was a whiz at Balderdash!). Ed and Lisa Murphy, Chesterfield VA

I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with Rodney back in the day at Aetna and he was very loved by many. He was a warm, funny, sincere and smart guy. He was known to crack a joke on a silent elevator. You would never know what he was going to say. I recently reconnected with him on Facebook and I was thrilled. He was still cracking his jokes and that made me very happy to see. I’m very sorry for your loss. He touched many with his sincerity and kindness.

Rodney was a wonderful, warm, funny person to be around and I am very saddened to hear of his passing. We became good friends and spent many Friday nights (and many other nights) at Wings and Carmines having a few beers, talking, laughing and of course playing high stakes poker. Above and beyond our Friday nights, I could always count on Rodney for a laugh and good advice whether it was a personal issue or business. I always knew that no matter what kind of day I was having that I could count on Rodney to comfort me and cheer me up. Rodney not only did this with me but everyone around him as well. He had a sincere gift that made others gravitate to him no matter where he was. I know he will be solely missed not only by me but many others. I do take comfort in knowing that he is finally back with his wife Sandra and son Adam. He always talked about how deep his love was for them both and how much he missed them. In addition to that, he always made it very clear that he was incredibly proud of and deeply loved his daughters, grandchildren and brother. My condolence’s to his other close friends and family. He was a wonderful man and I will sincerely miss his “COOLNESS” warm hugs and one liners! Rest in peace my friend.

I am Michele Zito. My husband, George "Rocky" Zito was very, very good friends with Rodney. They spent many Friday nights together having a "few beers". I guess this Friday night they will pick up where they left off. Rodney was such a good friend to George and me when George got cancer in February of 2014. He visited him in the hospital several times and was always there for me to talk to. George was 67 when he passed - that same age as your dad. I still have your dad's cell phone number in my cell because I knew I could call him when I was feeling bad and he would tell me he had the picture of him and George on his table. I am sorry he passed so young. Not fair for either of them. Thanks for being a friend Rodney. I wish I had called you more often to see what those Friday nights were like. And the Red Sox game you went to with George and my two boys...they loved it. I still have that picture and the one of you and George playing golf. I will treasure those pictures. Thank you.....Michele Zito

So sad to hear of Rod's passing. He and I were good friends, growing up in New Britain and members of the "Pierremount Avenue" boys. We lost contact over the years.
'Mr. Cool', 'Hot Rod', as he was affectionately known by us He was "The Fonz" of our little group with his jet black hair with the latest style, and his black leather jacket. We all looked up to him.
My condolences to the entire Belanger family.

My deepest condolences for your family at this sad time in your lives. Rodney is my cousin, my father and his father were brothers. Even though we hadn’t seen each other in a long while he was still in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless
