Obituary of Annette LaCava

Annette (Gaudiana) LaCava, 87, of Glastonbury, formerly of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 61 years to Dominick J. LaCava, died Tuesday January 15, 2013 peacefully at home surrounded by her dedicated family. Born September 13, 1925 in Bristol, daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Toce) Gaudiana, she lived in Wethersfield for greater than 50 years before moving to Glastonbury. Annette proudly held an executive secretarial position at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 10 years before leaving to raise her family. Throughout her life she enjoyed cooking and knitting, but most of all loved being with her family. Annette entertained with ease and elegance, embracing each holiday with passion. In addition, she actively volunteered in the school system and was a member of the Incarnation Women's Club. Besides her loving husband she is survived by five children; Patrick T. LaCava of Hartford, Luanne LaCava Treado and husband Robert of Southington, Carol-Anne LaCava Ghergurovich and husband John of Glastonbury, Joanne LaCava Foss and husband Mark of Glastonbury, Annette LaCava Giuliano and husband Frank of Berlin, 11 grandchildren and their spouses; Elisabeth Cinque and husband James, Robert Treado, Jr., Jonathan Ghergurovich, Jacklyn Ghergurovich Tobin and husband Kevin, Jennifer Ghergurovich, Joseph Ghergurovich, Gregory Foss, Timothy Foss, Seth Giuliano, Jacob Giuliano and Sarah Giuliano. She leaves a brother John Gaudiana of West Hartford, many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by six siblings. We say goodbye with a heavy heart to our wife, mother and grandmother, the heart of our family…..we will miss you. Funeral and burial were private.
