If there is anything we can do or help with please let us know. You have always been great neighbors and are shocked and very saddened by this news. Oh no!!!! I just found out about Danny!!! I am so sorry to hear about his passing. I knew of his illness, but didn't expect that he'd pass so suddenly. He was truly one of the nicest men I have ever known. My mother owned her own salon in Wilton, CT for 30+ years, and she was the only one to ever cut, color and style my hair. After she passed away in 2014 from lung cancer, I could not find it in me to have anyone else do my hair. However, as luck should have it, I won a gift certificate at a golf tournament. The gift certificate was for a color and cut at Salon Dell'Aera. I was a little apprehensive at first, but from the moment I walked into Danny's salon and was greeted by Danny and Hillary... I felt like I was back in my mom's salon! It felt like home. I loved every moment of every appointment I ever spent with Danny and his staff. I will miss exchanging doggie photos, and laughing at stories we'd share. But mostly, I will miss him...dearly. I will keep him and his loved ones in my thoughts.

Danny was one of the really, really nice guys. The salon was always full of laughter and fun. I can still see him rolling his eyes at something that Maryann said, or laughing hysterically with Hillary. I am so sorry at your loss, Carmela. Danny - my last haircut was perfect, as usual. Miss you. Kris Stetson

Danny. You are the best man I ever met, no lie.
A unique relationship of 47, yes 47 years? Yikes! More than a friend, as close as could be without being blood related. My caretaker when life tried to screw me, right? Honored to call you friend, my brother. You saved me from my own devices and stupid men. Belly laughing at my horrid but funny stories. Great to be introduced to many super people, especially Carmela.
The first time we clicked, it was by accident. Out of college in June 1974 I needed a real haircut - found you - kismet! Up to my retirement you gave me awesomely wild styles, wild times and peaceful times. Late night fun in Marlborough and restaurants in Hartford. I'd wait for you in the bar across the street from Salon Dell'Aera and from there it was grand! Italian dinners. Danny and I got chastised for reaking of garlic on a Saturday morning at the salon. Oops. Sorry Carmela!
During those early years you expanded your circle of life...They cry today. Dan B. & Leslie dream about you. Dan B. is in Texas and still calls you bro. That is the love. Les is your perfect model. What a head of hair with a personality that never quits. Shared adoration.
Other friends became concert buddies, Dean, Paul, my brother (as Danny would say- "brodder" in his Italian accent). Carmela, I still blush recalling Dean yanking your pants down in the middle of the salon. Carmela, you put up with the men from Hicksville-Storrs CT, UConn. You dear, patient woman.
Spring outdoor concerts- "Can't Stand the Weather". "Little Feat". At civic center, Dean's tix for Mark Knoffler, more.
During our younger years, golly, we partied hardy. Didn't we. And Carmela, thanks for knowing Danny would never behave on a way that compromised marriage vows! Never! All the while Danny held my head and heart in the palm of his hands.
The younger years became the more mature years . Memories. A piece of my pie. Gentler years. The "fun with dogs" years? Missing those gone before me. Missing those I don't see much......
