Obituary of Mary W. Palmer
Mary W. (Turner) Palmer, 82, of Glastonbury, passed away peacefully Wednesday February 3, 2021 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Waltham,MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Winifred (Mahoney) Turner. Mary resided in Glastonbury for over 50 years. In addition to her loving husband Ronald E. Palmer of 61 years. Mary is survived by her son Joseph R. Palmer and his wife Judith of Winsted, her four daughters: Stephanie Evans and her husband Andrew of Glastonbury, Renee Lemay and her husband Leon of Glastonbury, Elizabeth Palmer and her wife Linda Skowronek of Portland, Andrea O’Connell and her husband Clifford of Durham. Two sisters Joan Flynn of ME, Elizabeth Catarius and her husband Paul of Glastonbury, six grandchildren; Amanda Carabase (Duke), Allison Lipson( Ryan), John Palmer (Nicole), Matthew Palmer, Katherine Lemay and Erin O’Connell and eight great grandchildren who were the joy of her life. She was predeceased by brother Charles Turner and two sisters Anne Rice and Winifred Paine. Mary dedicated her life to her husband, five children and all others around her. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life. Her love and generosity has touched all who knew her. She leaves behind many happy memories especially spending time at their lake house in Canada. Mary was a very special person who will forever be loved, cherished, and greatly missed by so many. The Palmer family would like to thank Suzanne of Hartford Healthcare at Home Hospice and Andrea Bacon for their help with Mary’s care at home.
