Obituary of Henry Dondi

Henry J. Dondi, 82, of South Glastonbury, beloved husband of 63 years to Gail (Gardiner) Dondi, died Wednesday January 30, 2013 at home. Born February 17, 1930 in South Glastonbury, son of the late Enrico and Amelia (Pagliughi) Dondi he was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury. Henry was a carpenter for Tyrol & Wethey Builders for 40 years retiring in 1992. He was a member of the 3rd CT. Regiment the Nayaug Fife and Drum Corp. and a past member of the Glastonbury Elks. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Michael P. Dondi of Glastonbury, a granddaughter Alicia Fiducia and her husband Paolo of Glastonbury and a sister-in-law Violet Dondi of Glastonbury. He was predeceased by a brother Vincent Dondi and 2 sisters Caroline Sylvester and Philomena Dondi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday February 4 at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial with full military honors will follow in Green Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Sunday Feb. 3 from 2-4pm.
