Obituary of Dolores Fisher

Dolores Ann (Pidge) Fisher, born February 21, 1938 in Greenwich, CT. She was raised by her foster parents, James and Helen Cruse of Byram, CT. In her early teens, she was reunited with her biological mother Mae Muller of Greenwich. Pidge graduated from Resurrection Academy in Rye, NY with honors and Greenwich School of Nursing. She was married 54 years to her husband Harold (Bud) Fisher who retired from the Stamford Fire Department. Together they had three children; Harold Jr. (Buck) and wife Patty of Waterbury, Stephen and wife MaryAnn of Newtown and Sharon Basone and husband John of Glastonbury. Seven grandchildren; Melanie, Brendan, Rachel, Cory, Nolan, Kali and Phillip and two great grandchildren, Nadia and Peyton. A longtime resident of Stamford, Pidge worked at Fidelity Bank and Trust and the Bank of Stamford at various positions. In 1988 she moved to Newtown, CT. Pidge loved going to all her grandchildren's events, dance recitals, gymnastics, crew, baseball, lacrosse and wrestling. She was an avid gardener and loved golf and tennis. Pidge resided in Manchester, CT and Vero Beach, FL. Pidge, as she was known to her friends, was a loving and caring person. In the twenty years fighting some form of cancer she never complained. She was always optimistic and hopeful tomorrow would be a better day. Rest in Peace Pidge, till we meet again. Always, Bud.
