Obituary of Gerard J. Gosselin
Gerard J. Gosselin, 91, of Glastonbury passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. He was the widower of Frances (Rancourt) Gosselin.
Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Henry and Adele (Marcoux) Gosselin. Gerry was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in Korea. He worked as an Electrician and was a member of Local #35, retiring in 1992. Gerry was a member of St. Paul Church, Glastonbury and the VFW #254 of Newington. In his early years Gerry was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Surviving are his son Steven and daughter-in-law Melissa of FL, his step daughter Francine Cosker and husband Henry of Old Saybrook, his two grandchildren Christopher and Samantha Gosselin, his brother A. Denis Gosselin and wife Margaret of West Hartford and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by eleven of his siblings. The family would like to thank his caregivers especially Vicki for their compassionate care and friendship. A special thanks to his nephew Daniel Bendzinski for his support.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 11:00 am at Ss. Isidore and Maria Parish at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St, Glastonbury. A private burial, with military honors, will be in Neipsic Cemetery, Glastonbury, for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Organization (www.alz.org/ct).
