I always felt a special kinship with Aunt Leota and Uncle Don. Surely Don was my Mom's favorite brother, and Leota her favorite sister-in-law. I was always proud to know where my middle name, Donald, came from. We lived in Newington when Don got the job at P&WA, and it was natural for them to move to town. We had lots of great times with the cousins at their house and ours! And great food! Aunt Leota was always caring, attentive, calm, serene, beautiful! After our Dad died, both Leota and Don became even more attentive Aunt and Uncle to is Wights. Years later, when Tammy and I moved to West Hartford and I ran into a bump trying to get a mortgage for our first home, I called Aunt Leota at her bank and she easlity grease the skids for a loan. Fondest memories of Aunt Leota.

So so sorry that you have lost your loving Mom, I will miss her she was so dear to me through the many years. She often shared many loving stories of her family when she visited for her haircuts. She has also taught me so much about love and perseverance. Deepest sympathy to you all.
