Gladys was not only our next door neighbor but a dear friend. She inspired us with her “can do” spirit. Gladys taught me how to start our lawnmower when we moved next door in 1996. Always coming up to the house with baskets of blueberries or strawberries that she had picked for us. We also loved her Swiss chard potato pie! She loved our cat Spookie and we could always count on Gladys to take good care of her when we traveled. We loved hearing about life on the hill when she was growing up. She will be missed!
