Obituary of James S. Wojdyl

James S. Wojdyl Sr. of Wethersfield, CT passed away peacefully June 14, 2021.  He was the beloved husband of Cloitine B. Wojdyl.  Born on January 6, 1942 (79) in Hartford, CT a date shared also by his wife.  Son of Stephen and Dorothy Wojdyl, he grew up in Hartford and attended Bulkeley High School (Class of 60) where he still has many friends and enjoyed the reunions they have had throughout the years. He went on to serve our country in the National Guard from where he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he proudly achieved the ranking of 4th Degree Knight.  And recently also joined the Kiwanis of Glastonbury.  Jim was a Salesman and Entrepreneur and worked for Fisher Photo in the 60’s and in early 1970’s formed Arts Incorporated which evolved now into Jim and Cloys current business of 37 years and counting... City Frame Co., David James Gallery of Glastonbury.  Besides his wife Cloitine of 54 years he is survived by Son James Jr., his Granddaughter Gabrielle, Son David and his Companion Andrea Arricale, Sister Jane Santopietro, Brother-in-Law Ed Santopietro, Brother-in-law Gordon Bonetti, Sister-in-law Janine Bonetti (predeceased), Niece Beth Zelenz and husband Michael. Niece Jessica Hine-Bardelli and Husband Jon, and Nephew Alex Santopietro.  Along with Jim’s extended family of many cousins whose love and support are always never-ending!  An avid Photographer and Astronomer, he loved to look at life through a lens and shared his vast knowledge of the stars, sky, and landscapes with everyone.  Jim’s story telling was also second to none!!  The stories from his experiences and travels with Cloitine will live on with his all-loved ones and friends!!  Jim also loved his Friday night poker with the neighborhood gang and watching his sons sporting events over the many years.  Jim’s love for photography took him to many states for camera shows where he loved to buy and sell photography equipment and reminisce with his “camera” friends.  His presence at the local watering holes, family holidays and birthdays will truly be missed!  There will be an empty seat at these events now but his spirt will be with us always!

The family would also like to thank the Healthcare Workers of Hartford Hospital and Mapleview who worked tirelessly to make Jim comfortable for the last couple months. Expressions of Condolence for the family may be left in the guest book at Mulryanfh.com

Services will be held at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, CT on Monday June 21, 2021 at 11am followed by burial services at Green Cemetery, 99 Hubbard St. Glastonbury, CT. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday morning from 9:30 to 11:00am.
