Michael & Christina Rizzo posted a condolence
Wednesday, February 27, 2013
“In East Hartford, a joy ride around in Ed’s 1940’s Pontiac convertible with my Aunt while they were dating was a highlight in a young boy’s excitement. These were fun times that a boy does not forget. Staying involved in family gatherings with my Mom & Dad, Teresa (Repoli) and Mike Rizzo was a frequent occasion. Laughter prevailed and fun things were always close at hand. Much time was spent on weekends with them in their country Farmington home. Skipper was just born and the family atmosphere and love are memorable. I truly enjoyed sharing in my Aunt Dee’s appreciation for the beauty of nature around us. She helped a young city boy, early in life, to take the time to enjoy one’s surroundings. The love of nature is still with me today. Family gatherings were enjoyed for many years to follow and never to be forgotten.” By Michael Rizzo. “Diana and I had a shared love for the Arts. It was a common ground that we shared whenever Michael and I would visit with her and Ed. We would talk about color, perspective, balance, technique and the wonderful ways to flow watercolors to accomplish beauty within art. Her love for nature was continuously captured by her observations and echoed in her art. We would always walk around and take the time to discuss flowers in the gardens, which plant choices were working for her and how to improve her goals. I appreciated the design work and love that she put into them. There was no better common ground than the enjoyment of the beautiful earth that God had given us.” By Christina Rizzo. “We will both miss her.”

Turner family posted a condolence
Tuesday, February 26, 2013
We send our sympathies to the family, we knew Diane, Ed, and the children when we lived near them back in the 1960's and 1970's. My parents were good friends of Ed and Diane, and I am pleased to have sat for the children several times in the late 1960's. Please see more condolences on the Hartford Courant website, under obituaries, there are several there. With loving memories from the Turner family, Dr. Dale and Tedi and myself, Gail.
