Obituary of Priscilla A. Maricle
Priscilla (Thompson) Maricle, 86, of Glastonbury passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Donald L. Maricle.
Born in Boston, MA, December 13, 1934, Priscilla was the daughter of the late Earl and Florence (Pfarr) Thompson. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College. For many years she directed and taught at Buckingham Cooperative Nursery School where she lovingly touched the lives of many Glastonbury families. Priscilla was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church. When she was not engaged with Glastonbury friends and community activities she enjoyed spending summers in Plymouth, MA.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons Steven Maricle of Glastonbury, Peter Maricle and his wife Amy of MA, Timothy Maricle and his wife Victoria of VA, her sister Jane Hall of NJ, and her six grandchildren Benjamin, Christopher, Evan, Leah, Kadin and Alexander Maricle. Priscilla was predeceased by her brother George Earl Thompson in 2018.
Funeral services will be held at Saint James’ Glastonbury Episcopal Church, November 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Denise Cabana officiating. Donations may be made to Carol’s Closet, Saint James’ Glastonbury Episcopal Church.
