Tom and I are so very sorry to hear of Art's passing. He was truly a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. Tom really enjoyed the time he spent working with Art and they shared many laughs together. He had a great heart and was always willing to help anyone. Our deepest condolences to your family. May your treasured memories help you through this difficult time.

Sorry to hear the loss of Art. I came on the job shortly after Art and worked with him occasionally over the years. Art was a fair and honorable police officer and was respected by the members of the force and the public. He had a friendly disposition and knew how to deal with people on the street. He also could be tough when necessary. I remember how he used to take off his glasses and stow them in a pocket when we knew we had to use force. He was a good guy and we are all going to miss him. May he forever rest in peace.

I’m so sorry for the loss of Art I remember when I first started working at HH and Art was the man he knew everyone and everyone knew him very well. I remember telling Art that I wanted to be a police officer and he told kid you could do whatever you want just be yourself and treat people with respect. Since becoming a police officer now I always carry those words deep down. With that said rest easy Art may god bless your family and the love ones left behind.

When I was relatively new on the “job,” Ij used to occasionally walk the beat on Albany Avenue with Art. We were both UFO buffs, and I enjoyed our conversations immensely. A great guy!
