Obituary of George Carreira

George “Chico” Carreira, 86, of Lebanon passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 3, 2022. He was the widower of Magdalene “Lena” (Brennan) Carreira who died in 2016.

Born in Hartford, Chico was the son of the late Manuel and Minavina Carreira. He worked as a truck driver for many years and was a member of Teamsters Local 559. Chico was a long time member of the Glastonbury Fire DPT Co# 1.

Surviving are his two sons and daughters-in-law William and Celia Carreira of Glastonbury, Peter and Dawn Carreira of Hebron, two grandchildren Megan and Michael Carreira and several nieces and nephews. Chico was predeceased by his son Thomas Paul Carreira, his brother Frank Carreira and his sister Evelyn Rodriguez.
