Obituary of Dennis Dale Tanner

Dennis D. Tanner, 81, of East Hampton, formerly of Glastonbury, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 4, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Sue A. (Liveringhouse) Tanner.

Born in Minot, North Dakota, Dennis was the son of the late Dale and Emma (Bader) Tanner. Dennis graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Santa Clara. He worked as an Engineer for Pratt and Whitney for many years. After retirement Dennis started a new business as The Chair Doctor. He was a longtime and active member of the Buckingham Congregational Church. Dennis's fun-loving, quirky humor made him a favorite of family, friends and acquaintances.

In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by his son Christopher D. Tanner and his wife Sheri of Hebron, his daughter Karen M. Hunter and her husband Todd of Andover, his son Gregory B. Tanner of East Hampton, five grandchildren Jacob and Emma Tanner, Corbin, Cayden and Carah Hunter, two sisters Claire Sys and her husband Ronald of ND, Carol LaRue of MN, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10:30 am at Buckingham Congregational Church, 16 Cricket Lane, Glastonbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
