Obituary of Katherine A. Russo
Katherine A. Russo, 39, of Manchester died peacefully at her home on March 16 after a lengthy battle with leukemia. The daughter of Raymond and Rosanne Knapp, Katherine was born on October 12, 1982. She grew up in Meriden and graduated from Maloney High School in 2000. Katherine went on to the University of Connecticut during which time she spent a year abroad studying in Paris before graduating in 2004. She then earned her juris doctorate from Western New England College in 2008.
Katherine is survived by her husband Chris, her parents Ray and Rosanne, her in-laws Ralph and Charlene, sisters-in-law Sarah and Emily, brother and sister-in-law Scott and Kathy, her niece and nephews Amber, Adrian, and Ashton, and her beloved dog Coco. Katherine was blessed to have many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family also thanks the many compassionate, dedicated, and supportive medical professionals who tended to Katherine over the years.
Katherine loved spending time with her friends and family. She was a woman of many talents who enjoyed singing, dancing, sewing, and painting. Katherine enjoyed volunteering for dog rescue agencies and providing pro bono legal services. She was an avid yogini and a certified yoga instructor.
