My heart weeps for all of you. Nancy was a one of a kind soul. I feel so blessed to have met her at South Church. Her laughter- how could you not laugh along? Her caring was contagious. My husband had a great same age friend and he told other buddies I wanna be like Ron when I grow up. Though I am four years older, Nancy was that friend to me. I learned so much about being a Christian from her. If she was on a committee I wanted to be on it too- lay life, prayer group, funeral receptions , rummage sales, always meant hard work and laughter. We were always on the same page and I agreed with her quiet comments knowing she said what I was thinking. If you were sick or had a death in the family, she was right there with beautiful flowers- always felt sorry for Norm as she was always on the go and he was her Uber and manpower. Thank you Norm. She will be missed by so many like me, who have been truly blessed by her earthly presence. When my turn comes I can see her giggling and saying - where have you been, not so bad up here , have some angel cake !

Nancy was a true light of faith in this world. She would light up a room with her warm personality and lovely smile. Nancy was one of the most giving people that I know -- always ready to help someone or to listen to someone. She threw herself into everything that she did, whether it was leading a prayer group, organizing a memorial service reception, or chairing a rummage sale. Nancy was just one of the kindest people I know, really living out her faith every day with those whom her life touched. I will miss her big hugs, her heartfelt prayers, and all that she was to us who knew her. May she rest in peace with Jesus, now and forever.

My dear "Sister" in Christ, Nancy would always say that to me as I did to her. Our beautiful angel on earth is now an angel in Heaven. I have also lost the sister I never had before meeting her 30 years ago. Our Heavenly Father blessed both of us as close and best friends - she lifted me up on difficult days especially with the loss of my son, John, and then my daughter, Brenda. Her gentleness and understanding held me up and over time she never forgot their birthdays or how much they were loved. She loved to go to the cemetery with me on their birthdays, dates of their passing, and on special days we all celebrate. I cannot imagine not having her by my side back then. One thing she used to laugh at me for was when we were in a car together and I would see a dead, small creature or any creature, I would make the sign of the cross and she would say,”what was that for”? I would say,” God created even the little folk.”
I thank God for Nancy as I watched how she always found time to help anyone and everyone who needed her love, guidance, and support. I was blessed to be one of the many she shed love and healing upon - truly born with this gift from our Heavenly Father.
I thank the Higgins family for demonstrating how a family that loves together stays together. I love you all! God bless you in this time of great loss - surely our Father in Heaven will use her angelic skills to help many. And to my "sister" Nancy, until we meet again, God bless and much love to you.

My heart is deeply saddened to learn of Nancy's passing. Nancy loved deeply and shared generously. She had a strong faith that she shared with all who came across her path. I will miss her a great deal. God bless you all with comfort, strength and heart healing memories now and in the days ahead. Dianne Schwegler
