Obituary of Stanley Germain

Stanley G. Germain, 73, of Vernon, CT., died Wednesday June 12, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. Born April 16, 1940 in Cambridge, NY, son of the late Raymond and Rose (Geaudreau) Germain, he had lived in Long Island, NY and Dallas, PA, prior to moving to Vernon last year. Stan held a BA from SUNY Potsdam and went onto earn a Masters degree in Music Education and School Business Administration. Stanley enjoyed sailing, skiing, golfing and volunteered at several homeless shelters. He is survived by his children; Brent Germain and his wife Laura of Glastonbury and Kelly Patti and her husband Daniel of Newtown and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Raymond Germain and Mary Anne Germain. His long-time companion Janet Bonk and his former wife Catherine Keenan and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Saturday June 15 at 1:00pm in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
