Obituary of Michael P. Spear, Jr.
Michael Patrick Spear Jr., a loving father and grandfather, died November 9, 2022 at the age of 55. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on December 11, 1966 and is the beloved son of Elizabeth T Cunetta and Michael P Spear Sr, step-father Robert Cunnetta and step-mother Lucia Spear. He is survived by daughter Kaitlyn Spear who was the most important thing in his young life, her fiancée, Shawn MacIntosh, and his beloved grandson Wyatt Ulysses MacIntosh. He was pre-deceased by his brother Ryan Doherty.
He grew up with his aunties and their friends, who taught him how to laugh. He developed a passion for the outdoors at an early age, and would go fishing with his dad. He traveled with his grandparents in a camper on trips between Maine and Florida. Michael loved giving back to others. He would become active with Narcotics Anonymous in New Hampshire and Florida to advocate for people in recovery. His love for others and devotion to those struggling brought him great pride. Michael also spent many years volunteering at Unity Church in Merritt Island FL. Michael loved his country and often helped veterans in need. His favorite bird was the Eagle. He loved working with his hands and was proud of his creations whether it was carpentry or masonry.
In addition to his parents, and his daughter Kaitlyn and grandson Wyatt, Michael is also survived by his siblings Tricia, Michael, Marty and husband Tom, Franny, and Joe and his wife Nadine. He is also survived by aunts and uncles: Ed and wife Sylvia, Paul and wife Kathy, Jackie and husband Joe, Meg and husband Michael, Ann and partner Scott, and Marilyn and husband Keith. He loved and will also be missed by his nieces and nephews and dozens of cousins.
