Obituary of Margaret D. Moon

Margaret (DeLeo) Moon, 95, of South Glastonbury, CT passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 16, 2023. Margaret was born on March 3, 1927, in Cambridge, MA. She was the loving wife of the late Clifford G. Moon Jr. She was the daughter of the late Joseph DeLeo and Maria (Borelli) DeLeo.

Besides her work as devoted wife and mother, Margaret worked for The Institute for Living, Hartford National Bank, Prototype and Plastic Mold, Trinity College and TC Film. She was involved in many organizations.  Margaret was a life member and board member of the Wethersfield Historical Society. She was an active parishioner of the Church of the Incarnation in Wethersfield and later at St Augustine’s Glastonbury. She was a member of The Town and County Club in Hartford, CT, a volunteer for The Village for Families and Children and a Friend of the Mark Twain House. She enjoyed being a garden club member in Newington, Wethersfield, and South Glastonbury.

Margaret is survived by her sons Clifford G. Moon III of Woodstock, CT, his wife Susan Levy Moon and her son Joseph G. Moon of South Glastonbury and his friend Kathy Beaver.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Mass on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Ss. Isidore and Maria Parish at St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury, CT followed by burial at St. Augustine Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
