Obituary of Susan McNamara

Susan (McAleer) McNamara, 89, passed peacefully into God’s arms on February 5, 2023.  Susan was born in Holytown Motherwell Scotland on December 14, 1933 to the late Elizabeth Blair and Hugh McAleer.  Susan is survived by five daughters Deborah Jones and her husband David, Kathleen Hunt, Diane Hatfield and her wife Karen Spendolini, Donna Fallon and her husband Dave, Laurie Tacey and her husband Brian, 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Susan leaves three siblings Elizabeth Grieve and her husband James, Samuel McAleer and his wife Mae and John McAleer.  She is predeceased by her husband Philip O. McNamara, her brother Hugh McAleer and her sister Sarah McAleer. The family extends their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at Apple Rehabilitation, Colchester for their loving care.  Funeral services and burial will be private.
