Obituary of Theresa F. D'Addeo

Theresa F. (Champ) D’Addeo of Glastonbury, surrounded by her family on her 90th birthday, passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2023. Married for 66 years to her high school sweetheart, she was the widow of Antonio V. D’Addeo.

Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anne Champ. Founder of the “Dancing Dolls”, Theresa graduated from Weaver High School in 1952. Tap dancing since a child, she entertained, made life brighter and brought people together wherever she went. Anything Theresa did she gave 100%, especially to her family and friends. As a girl scout leader, cheerleading coach, member of Sacred Heart Church, teaching table tap at the Glastonbury Sr. Center or knitting hats and scarves for the less fortunate, Theresa was the model of a matriarch. Each day grateful, giving and caring for others, she had a grace and rhythm as she moved through her life. Impacting so many so significantly, Theresa's example, memory and love will endure.

Surviving are her daughter Justine A. Neild of Glastonbury, her three sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Carmela D’Addeo of Rocky Hill, Daniel and Kathryn D’Addeo of Westerly, RI, Joseph and Deborah D’Addeo of FL, her sister Marie McCarthy and her husband John, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. For online condolences, please visit www.mulryanfh.com
