I have known Ernie since the time 1997 when I ran for the Town Council in Glastonbury. He was a great supporter of mine throughout. He was active with the Democratic party and was vocal in sharing his ideas. I will never forget his strong support when I took an active role on the Council as the Vice Chair, to make sure the seniors in town had a decent and accessible center. The result was the current beautiful and busy facility, the Riverfront Community Center. His enthusiasm, courage and convictions were evident in all the meetings and interaction we had with him. More recently he persuaded me to join the Board of Directors of the South Glastonbury Public Library and I readily agreed because of my friendship with him. He was truly a good friend and I will miss Ernie dearly.
