Obituary of Charles Joseph Lignelli

Charles J. Lignelli, 69, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Patricia (Quaile) Lignelli, died Monday June 5, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Born January 21, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Giglio) Lignelli, he had lived in Glastonbury for the past 26 years. Prior to his retirement he was a Systems Analyst for the Aetna.  Chuck was a member of the First Company Governors Foot Guard Band for the past 40 years, and Conductor of the band for many. He also conducted the Glastonbury Town Band since 1994, and played euphonium with many musical organizations throughout the state. Chuck was a proud member of the UConn Marching Band and Kappa Kappa Psi. He earned a BS in Music Education and a BFA in Music from the University of Connecticut. Besides his wife he is survived by his son Cory A. Lignelli of Worcester, MA, 2 brothers; Ronald Lignelli of Woodbridge, VA and Kenneth Lignelli and his wife Kat of Hamden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 10 at 12 noon in SS Isidore and Maria Parish at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Green Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday June 9 from 4-6pm.
