Obituary of Thomas M. Pike

Thomas M. Pike, age 59, of Glastonbury, CT died on June 12, 2023 from cancer. Tom grew up in upstate NY and CT. He attended the University of Hartford where he met many life-long friends including his wife, Tracey. He held various roles in electronics manufacturing businesses most recently as a Market Manager, Aerospace & Defense for OFS, of Avon, CT.

Tom was a devout family man and an amazing friend, Tom took care of everyone including the dogs, Jada & Luna. Tom had deep friendships, especially with his friends from upstate NY who he stayed connected to over his entire life.

Tom was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed all types of weather. Words from Tom, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear.” He loved coaching, skiing, the beach and was a die-hard NY Giants fan.

Tom is survived by his wife, Tracey and daughters Brynn, Jesse and her partner Ryan; son Nick and his wife Dot and Tom’s grandchildren, Dede and Gino of Cleveland, OH; his parents Richard and Barbara Pike of Burlington, NC; sister Renee Scalamandre of Oceanside, NY; and many nieces, nephews and a great nephew. Tom was predeceased by his brother, Richard.

We imagine Tom is sitting in his Adirondack chair, beer in hand at Sacandaga Lake looking over us all. We will truly miss that dazzling smile.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
