Obituary of George F. Fay, Jr.
George F. Fay, Jr., 84, of Glastonbury passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his family.
George was an extraordinary individual who embodied love and touched the lives of those around him in profound ways. His devotion to his wife, Judy, was boundless, and he cherished their relationship with every fiber of his being. The depth of his love for her was evident to all around them, as it radiated from him and enveloped those in his presence.
Not only did George share his love with Judy, but he also extended it to his family and friends. His heart overflowed with immeasurable amounts of love. He created special moments with his loved ones, such as singing songs to his grandchildren and offering unwavering support at any event. His love for life was infectious and evident in his smile and laughter, spreading joy to all those around him.
George had a genuine appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. Whether it was finding fulfillment in his work, savoring delicious food, enjoying the beauty of the ocean, or relishing a well-crafted cocktail, he found joy in the little things. Additionally, he used his passion for sports like football, baseball, skiing, and golf as a means to bring people together. His infectious spirit united others, enabling them to revel in the sweetness of life alongside him.
The impact George had on countless lives was immeasurable. His extraordinary presence and kindness left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. As a son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, father-in-law, relative, and friend, he wove a remarkable legacy of love and compassion. His vibrant love for others had the power to encapsulate a room and ignite the hearts of those around him.
Though George may no longer be physically present, his memory and legacy will be forever remembered and cherished. The love he shared and the impact he made will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched. George's extraordinary love serves as a reminder of the profound beauty and power of human connection, and his spirit will continue to inspire others to embrace and share love in their own lives
In addition to his wife, George is survived by his son George F. Fay III and his wife Patsy of Glastonbury, his two daughters Jodi Raymond and her husband Jeff of ME, Jennifer Coletti and her husband Jamie of NC, seven grandchildren, his sister Kathleen Grant and her husband Eric of CA. He was predeceased by his brother Gregory Fay.
Please join us for a celebration of life on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Crystal Ridge Winery, 257 Belltown Road, Glastonbury, CT from 4:00 - 7:00. This was one of his favorite spots in town.
