Obituary of Daniel G. Charpentier, Sr.

Daniel Gerard Charpentier, Sr., 74, of Hebron passed away peacefully at home on June 17, 2023 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.  A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, he was born on August 29, 1948 in Lewiston, Maine to Margaret (Donovan) Chartier and the late Edgar Charpentier.  He leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Margaret (Lovell) Charpentier, his mother Margaret Chartier and his sons, Daniel G. Charpentier, Jr.  and his wife Melissa of Portland, Todd Charpentier and his wife Christina of Hebron, grandsons, Caden, Noah and Christian Charpentier as well as his sister, Lynn Poulin, many Donovan cousins and close friends, Maria and Jerry Scelza.

Dan graduated from East Hartford High School and was a celebrated swimmer. He lived in Hebron for almost 50 years and owned a vending company until his retirement.  Dan will be remembered for his great love of his family, Hallmark movies, Moxie soda, rescuing animals and black coffee. Dan took great pride in his yard and garden. 

The family would like to thank Hartford Healthcare Hospice for the loving care provided to Dan.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
