Obituary of Ellinor R. Richards
Ellinor R. (Trymbulak) Richards, 91, of East Hartford since 1950 passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Hartford Hospital.
Born in Manchester on July 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Kasper) Trymbulak. Ellinor was truly an angel to so many, sending numerous packages to her family overseas, being a caregiver to her elderly mother, sister and her husband to keep them at home. She was there for her granddaughters Dawn and Ashley while her daughter Elly worked and her great grandchildren Juliana, Jonathan and Jacob in their times of need. Ellinor was a talented seamstress sewing everything from bridal gowns to beautiful window treatments. She and her late husband Frank were accomplished ballroom dancers after 20 years of lessons. They enjoyed many Saturday nights dancing to live bands throughout the state.
Ellinor is survived by her loving and devoted family, her daughter and son-in-law Elinor “Elly” and Ronald Stoppa of Glastonbury and Newport, RI, her two granddaughters Dawn Wadding Stoppa and Jon Twichell of Portland, Ashley Stoppa and her spouse Emily Morse of West Warwick, RI, her three great grandchildren Juliana, Jonathan and Jacob Twichell, and her special nephew Anthony Trymbulak and his wife Carol of Colchester. In addition to her parents, Ellinor was predeceased by her husband Frank A. Richards, one brother and two sisters, her dog Dustin and her cat Hershey whom she loved so much.
Mom, you were my best friend, my rock and the thread that held me together. The moment that you left me, my heart broke in two. One side filled with memories, the other side died with you. Remembering you is easy, but missing you is a heartache that never goes away. I hold you tightly within my heart and there you will always remain. “I love you Mom”, Elly.
