Obituary of Lorraine E. Rignall

Lorraine E. Rignall, née Etienne, 83, passed away on December 14, 2023 in Hartford, CT. She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Rignall of Glastonbury, CT; nephew Eric C. Rignall and family of Queens, NY; and niece Karen E. Rignall and family of Lexington, KY. Lorraine hailed from Kingston, NY, although her early days were spent with her grandparents on a farm in Morristown NY; she proudly maintained her connections to New York her whole life. She attended McGill University for her BA and received a masters degree in psychology from Cornell University. Lorraine served elementary school students and their families for over 40 years, especially as a school psychologist in East Hampton, CT. She traveled extensively with Charlie and shared her love of the beautiful cities she visited in Europe with her close community of friends, to whom she always brought carefully considered gifts. Lorraine and Charlie also treasured their home in Glastonbury, watching and nurturing the finches and other creatures of their garden together.
