Holly and Phil Novell posted a condolence
Sunday, January 21, 2024
There are so many happy memories of our times with Mimi. Some of our fondest memories include evening dinners and playing card games, tripping through flea markets and antique stores, and just spending hours chatting, chatting, and chatting. Mimi was filled with a wealth of knowledge that we all called upon.
Mimi and George were very special friends that brought joy and laughter into our lives. We miss them both but they will live on in our hearts forever.
Sending love and hugs to the family, Holly and Phil Novell

Mimi was a rare combination of class, compassion, kindness, and strength. We were blessed to have her become a good friend when we moved into the neighborhood and appreciative of the detailed history of the area that she provided. We shared a few dinners and memorable times as she watched our family take root. She always spoke fondly of her husband and proudly of her wonderful family. A true matriarch, Mimi will always be our “Queen of Candlelight.” Love Shannon, David, Matthew, and Jenna

When I was younger Mimi used to invite me into her beautiful lawn and garden and let me play and practice gymnastics. I loved it and will always remember her happy in her garden in East Chop.

Mimi was an amazing woman. Her family was a reflection of her and George's love and devotion. The first time I saw Mimi was when she walked into a "house tour" with her daughters. Wow, they were knockouts! I was impressed by her garden, her decorating skills, and her reflections on life in general. To her family: I sympathize with you for your loss, and just know that the Borde family - all the way down to our grandchildren - love you dearly and will always be around the corner for you. Connie
