Obituary of Irene W. Landry

Irene (Winters) Landry, 98, of Glastonbury passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024. She was the widow of William H. Landry.

Born in Southington, Irene was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Raczkowski) Winters.  Irene is survived by her son, Robert Landry and his wife Louise, her daughter Peggy Zampino, her son Bill Landry and his wife Connie, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.

Irene was a 79 year member of St. Luke Episcopal Church, Glastonbury and also a choir member for about 50 years.  Irene and Bill were married in St. Lukes in 1948 and spent 72 together before his passing in 2020.

Irene enjoyed singing and was a member of the Glastonbury Chorus for many years. She also enjoyed being a bookkeeper and a bowler at Glastonbury Bowl.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 10:00 am at St Luke Episcopal Church, 915 Main St., South Glastonbury.  Burial will be in Glastonbury Veterans Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.  for online condolences, please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
