Obituary of Anthony C. Partridge

Anthony C. Partridge, 87, of Glastonbury, husband of over 47 years to the late June Eleanor Mary Partridge passed away on June 6, 2024. Born in New York City on March 14, 1937, son of the late Jack and Lillian Partridge he had resided in Glastonbury since retiring from active service in 1978.

 Tony was a graduate of George Washington High School in N.Y.C. class of 1956. Following his graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 22 years, including a tour of duty in Vietnam in 1969/70.

Tony and June, and the children enjoyed many years traveling to, and serving in various locations throughout the United States, including Texas, Illinois, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Cape Cod, MA and North Dakota. These tours of duty were all prefaced by five wonderful years in Europe where in 1961 he met and married his lifetime sweetheart June in Peterborough, England.

Following his retirement from active service Tony joined Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, and enjoyed a twenty year career traveling the world for the Customer Facility Planning Group, in support of major airlines in need of engine maintenance facility planning assistance.

In retirement Tony and June enjoyed dabbling in the antiques business as members of his family in England, and his father in Maine, had been lifetime antique dealers, and they enjoyed following in the family tradition in a limited manner.

Tony is survived by his children, Gene V. Partridge of Waterford CT, Linda G. Partridge of Glastonbury, CT and Wayne M. Partridge, and his wife Melissa of Vernon, CT. Tony also leaves his sister Pauline Lebeyka in New Jersey, and their son Paul Lebeyka, and daughters Janice Gerardi and Sandra Mitchell and husband Steve. He also leaves his sister Pamela Janovitz in Las Vegas, Nevada. A private memorial with full military honors is planned for the family. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
