I am truly sorry for your loss. Bill was such a good man. A good husband & father and such
a hard worker. Regardless of everything in the past, I will continue to pray for you Linda, and the
entire family. God bless you all.

Linda & Family, I remember when Bill asked me about you. He told me that he called you abut a date for that weekend. He said that you told him you were getting married. With that, I knew you two were a match. Bill had a tough exterior but we both know, he had a heart of gold. Please try to find comfort in the memories of the good times you had together with your family. All our best, Mike & Pat Starace.

Linda, Lyndsey, Vanessa and Family - It is with great sorrow that I heard of Bill's passing from several friends at The Hartford. As I noted to those friends "Bill was truly a remarkable person. Not withstanding his impactful career at The Hartford and his other accomplishments, what impressed me most was that he single handedly raised Lyndsay and Vanessa from an early age all the way to the time they were young adults. Truly a selfless act of love and dedication. A life well lived by someone who gave more to all of us than we could ever repay.".
One of the best days ever for Bill was when Linda agreed to go out on a date with him. He was beyond excited!!! That began a second wonderful chapter in his life, with new members of the family and grandkids galore. What an amazing life!!!
And for some of us at The Harfford that affectionately referred to Bill as Smiley Watras, he had a heart of gold and was one of the kindest and most thoughful people we had the pleasure of working with. Salute to you---Smiley Watras.
