We were greatly saddened to read about Marv’s passing. We met him and Jan when our kids were in elementary school together In Glastonbury. In kindergarten, their daughter Jade was our son’s first love. Kip traveled with Marv at times when they both worked at Pratt. Jan and I did some work together on behalf of the local schools. A lovely family. Generous, kind, and fun-loving! They hosted great Super Bowl parties. So nice to read of happy times and travels the Willards continued to share. Sending love and sympathy for your loss. We keep you in our treasure box of dear friends we’ve had the privilege to know.

Went to Cuero High with Marvin. He was always a friendly guy with a big smile. Marvin was also a super smart guy who was happy to help me to understand my lessons in our homeroom class. So sad to hear of his passing.

Our friend Marvin Willard: 1942 —DASH—2025
Linda Ellis wrote a poem about that “—DASH—" The last verse goes:
"So when your eulogy is being read,
With your life's actions to rehash…
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent YOUR dash?"
We have known Marvin for 57 years...as a work colleague...as a friend. We may not have seen him a lot during all those years, but to this day every time I see an Austin Healey 3000 I think of him. He and Jan were two of only eight people to join us in our North Palm Beach wedding in 1969. In those intervening years Marvin touched the lives of so very many people - all in a positive way.
Whether at work or play...whether at home or away ...Marv - you lived your dash to its fullest. God bless you and keep you in His care, until we meet again.
